Andrew Collins

Term of office

I am one of the original members of the CF10 Rugby Trust working party and have served as a Board Member for ten years. Throughout that time, I have played a significant role in the Trust’s development, from its early days as a concept through to an organisation with over 900 members.

In the Trust’s formative years, I was heavily involved in building the brand and its online presence, co-ordinating campaigns, helping to create the CF10 website, and producing promotional material, including the CF10 Fanzine and Membership Cards. The phrase ‘Protecting the past, embracing the future’ was a suggestion I made in one of those early meetings and has since become the Trust’s strapline. I have also held the role of Membership Secretary, ensuring members’ data is held securely and that the Trust remains GDPR compliant.

I have attended the vast majority of the Trust’s meetings and events over the years and have always tried to offer useful advice and suggestions wherever I can. I ran the social media accounts in the early days, including the popular #ClassicMoments weekly videos during the off-season, and I remain part of the CF10 social media team today. The Trust’s following has grown from a few hundred in those early days to over 3,200 on X alone.

More recently, I have been at the forefront of the Trust’s response to proposals from the WRU regarding the future of professional rugby in Wales. In 2025, I was part of the team that presented CF10’s case directly to Dave Reddin, the WRU’s Director of Rugby and Elite Performance, and have continued to meet with WRU board representatives, including Abi Tierney and Richard Collier-Keywood, to share the views and concerns of Cardiff Rugby fans. I also collated data from fan surveys completed by over 300 supporters, which formed a key part of that submission. In 2026, I was proud to be invited onto the panel that selected the greatest Cardiff XV of all time as part of the club’s 150th anniversary celebrations.

This is a challenging time for Welsh rugby, and I believe the Trust’s role has never been more important. I am just as committed now as I was ten years ago to making sure CF10 continues to be a strong voice for Cardiff Rugby supporters.
