@LynnGlaister

I have supported Cardiff Rugby since my childhood and have fond memories of attending matches with my father in the 1970s and ‘80s when I was privileged to watch legends such as Gareth Edwards, Gareth Davies and Terry Holmes on the pitch. I believe preserving the club’s rich heritage for future generations is really important and the Trust has played a significant part in this objective.

It was around the “rebel season” in 1998 that I became a regular at CAP, attending matches with my husband and we have been through the highs and lows of supporting our home club as season ticket holders since that time. We have followed Cardiff at home and when possible travelled to away matches in both cup competitions and in the various leagues.

I believe that the Trust has a pivotal role to play as the voice of supporters and also as a critical friend both to Cardiff Rugby and more widely to Welsh Rugby (through the Joint Supporters Group).

It was during the #SaveOurGame campaign (when the Trust worked closely with other professional club supporters groups in the fight for fairer funding to protect the professional game) that I became very engaged with the Trust and its objectives.

I was delighted to have been co-opted onto the Board in 2024 and to take on the vacant board position at the AGM in 2025. I have had the opportunity to take part in meetings with Cardiff Rugby representatives and to take minutes for these and other meetings on behalf of the Trust. I have also used my background in Human Resources to help support the administration process regarding the reappointment of the Supporter Board Advisor.

I look forward to continuing to play an active role in the Trust and sharing supporters views on future discussions with Cardiff Rugby and as part of the Joint Supporters Group sharing the views of supporters with representatives of the Welsh Rugby Union during this time of significant change for rugby in Wales.

When not supporting Cardiff Rugby and Cardiff RFC, I can often be found supporting Wales Rugby, Rugby Club Vannes and Glamorgan & England Cricket. My other interests include going to music concerts, cycling, walking and protecting the environment.
