It might seem that way, but we've actually been incredibly busy over the last few weeks. The most important news to share is that our application to form as trust has been accepted by the Financial Conduct Authority - so we can now say that we actually exist!

Having achieved this crucial step, we’re now busy with the practical arrangements for launching the trust. The working party has established four work streams and these are concerned with: Communication, Membership & Finance, Governance & Policies and Projects (which is dealing with particular programmes that we think that the trust can be involved in that help fulfil our objectives).

We've recruited strongly to the working party and will shortly update the tab on working group members to reflect this - but we're delighted to have recruited people with skills in sports management, finance and communication in particular.

So far we've developed a set of model rules for the trust, put together a membership application form and started the process of opening a bank account, developed a map of what we need to do to ensure good governance and effective working, produced a communications strategy and identified a really exciting project that we think would be a brilliant piece of work for the trust to engage in (there will be more on this in due course). We've also met and had a number of dialogues with the Cardiff Blues management, all of which have been very positive.

So, it’s full steam ahead for an Autumn launch; we hope to be able to do this around a Saturday game, and so cannot be definitive about this until we know the fixture list-so we’ll probably be looking at holding an event sometime in October. Again, there will be more news on this as soon as the picture becomes clearer.
